Open Education for Learning e-Skills Ecosystems
There is a need to constantly facilitate the learning of a dispersed population with bigger agility and speed. What can educational technology, more specific distance education / e-learning combined with open education movement bring to the table?
OER and Open Courseware have already been mentioned (http://daa.ec.europa.eu/content/mass-creation-skills). Here are some more inspiring initiatives and practices of interest.
Taking Stock of the Jobs & Skills Discussion
At the start, five major relevant topics & areas of discussion of the Working Group were defined and offered as real challenges and e-quests for motivated people and institutions to address:
1. Mapping & bridging the supply & demand gap in Europe
2. Good practices & initiatives that lead to jobs
3. Preparing & setting-up an effective multi-stakeholder partnership for Europe, Youth & Employment
4. Challenges & roadblocks
5. Innovative approaches to e-skills & training for employment and new jobs
e-Quest 2: Seeking the European ICT-based Jobs Champions!
Following up the five e-quest structure for the Jobs & Skills' group mission that was introduced earlier (http://daa.ec.europa.eu/content/changing-digital-agenda-game-5-e-quests-...) we launch today the quest for ICT Champions (e-quest 2): Collecting inspiring initiatives on ICT-based job creation
