Content is indeed becoming more and more available through different devices and their internet/cloud connection. But which content are you viewing? How do you select the content?
As research shows, making choices is a tiring business. That's why linear TV is still so successful: the broadcaster has selected the interesting content for you - all you have to do is relax, watch and enjoy.

Not so bad - at least for some countries

Earlier this month, the World Economic Forum published its Global Information Technology Report 2012 (http://www3.weforum.org/docs/Global_IT_Report_2012.pdf)
It shows top-10 rankings for the Northern countries in Europe (Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Norway), both on the global Networked Readiness Index as on the Infrastructure & Content Pillar - Sweden being the number 1 in both fields.
It shows again how difficult it is to work out a general approach for all countries in Europe or in the EU.
