Hello everyone,
Learning from all the discussion that has gone on for the past while, and trying to get to grips with some of the implications for policy, we thought it might be good to raise one final question.
How can investment in digital public services and sustainability help create jobs and fight unemployment?
It seems that we can also link to topics that have been covered in other groups here: as mentioned by others, open public data can generate a wealth of opportunities for building new applications, etc. etc.
What other ways can we encourage sharing knowledge about 'what works'?
I was just thinking that there are many really excellent examples of decent public services out there in the world, and yet, despite many of them getting lots of publicity, I am wondering what other instruments we can use to actually learn, and then apply from these good cases. Is it all about setting up excellent networks of people (rather than institutional networks)?
So, my question is: how do we stimulate people in public services to learn and apply from others?
