This workshop will discuss business models and cost reduction measures which could foster the deployment of high speed broadband infrastructures.
- With regard to cost reduction, an official Public Consultation has been launched on an EU Initiative to Reduce the Cost of Rolling Out High Speed Communication Infrastructure in Europe. To accompany this, on this platform we started crowdsourcing ideas to reduce the costs of broadband rollout. Publish your ideas in the dedicated space!
- With regard to NGA investment models, we discuss exemplary case studies to thrash out the pros and cons of different NGA investment models and to stimulate a discussion about their pivotal commercial, financial and regulatory features. Which cases should be looked at and replicated across Europe? Read up and comment on the cases of Reggefiber , STOKAB and Portugal Telecom!
