How can we stop this Child industry?
In all over Europe (and unfortunality in the rest of the world too) there is a on going child industry where children are used by the system to create work oppurtunities.
Deepest Thanks & on Finding Magic in Brussels!
Magical Day in Digital Agenda Assembly & Art in Brussels!
Chance of a Lifetime to be a participant in EU Parliament to watch, learn & luckily contribute ideas and tell it like it is for Entrepreneurs!
Later on, walking the streets of Trone to South & North Brussels I meet by chance Antoine Maurel of Le Lombard. An inspirational Web Entrepreneur - it wont be long before Silicon Valley & The World's Audiences find him too!
Thank you Antoine & Le Lombard for the inspiration!
No Banking will Fund my EU Parliament Attendance : (
Dear Rasmus and DAA Team and Management, and All EU Parliament Members
I have not been able to attract Banking Finance to stay in Brussels for DAA Conferences, I am so sorry I cannot fund my attendance!
I wanted to wish you all well and best for wonderful Event Outcomes!
Already, being a participant of the DAA Forum has awarded me new friends, kind scientists, futurists and technologists! I also received an invitation to InnoSummit in Silicon Valley USA from my Forum contributions and innovation discussions!
How much bandwith do we actually need??
In many broadband discussions it seems like it is taken for granted, that there is an enormous and unquestionable need for hi speed broadband 'everywhere' - and that the key goal is to roll out hi speed/fibre based broadband as fast as possible.
In Norway, two studies have been released in 2012 - both taking a critical examination of the "hi speed services" - and the actual "need for speed".
One of the studies was conducted by Norsk Telecom AS - a company which I am involved in..:
ICT education in Primary schools - grounds for EU development
A subject that I saw that wasn't given enough attention in these parts was the education of children when it comes to ICT and Internet education.
Pace of Change
ICT clearly a fast moving space ; what I don't understand is why the organisation that is supposed to support its progress across EU is not designed with that in mind. Its time to get out of the forests of research projects that add little value and focus on fast agile response to the real challenges we face economic , social , environmental etc.
Gamification
Not sure where this goes , but there needs to be more discussion around gamification - awful word i know , as a means of engaging people with the serious challenges we face. There is so much talent ou there and we fail to harness and use it at our peril.
VonPrussia ICT Innovations - Inventors & Creators & Engineering
After many years of creating Art, Performing and operating a Small Business, I dreamed one day to bring it back to my Prussian Ancestors Homeland and to The European Union!
A lot of people and Governments doubted me, and every Bank has ignored me, but many people believed in me, so with this Letter to you The Digital Agenda Assembly and European Parliament I hope you honour what I give you today, becasue it is absolutely everything I have to give as a Woman Entrepreneur from Australia!
Empowerment - what is that?
A key term in DAe is Empowerment.
However when you look into the varous groups, empowerment is not enabled by the Actions.
In security, focus is on identificaiton and surveilance.
In Social media, focus is on deep tracking and behavioural profiling
In commerce, the disucssons on payments ignore basic empowering technologies such as Digital Cash.
In cloud, the eagerness to centraslied data about people is incredible.
From DA, a "Plan for Telework" for all the organizations
I think Digital Agenda has to propose a new model for knowledge working in organizations. In particular, since DA fosters innovation in community life, I think that DA has to adopt specific actions for imposing a change in teleworking (see the US telework enhancement act - http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bills/111/hr1722), actions where teleworking is proposed as a necessary element for a new innovative Europe.

Better Software is Simpler Software
My message is: better software is simpler software. A digital agenda for Europe should put simplicity of software systems as a primary goal.
While creating the next generation of overly complex software systems may instill awe and reverence, creating simpler software would enable understanding, which empowers us to reach our goals far better.

Google, Microsoft, Apple : ) Were they invited to DAA?
A little cheeky & stating the obvious, but I thought I would ask Members, did you invite Google, Microsoft & Apple to attend?
They are the largest investors, engineers and instant legal owners of Digital Realms Internationally, but they are not present at Digital Agenda Assembly.
Is the Digital Agenda focusing enough on traditional small businesses?
I understand that a main focus of the digital agenda is to enable every European citizen to make use of digital services.
I feel that one group is not enough in focus: Small traditional businesses ("offline" - local business). They still often struggle to make make use of digital services to reach their customers online and bring them back in their stores and locations.
What about education & learning?
I did not see clearly if the Digital agenda is considering to cover education and learning and where?
I mean not the formal education but the new innovative educational processes in the perspective of initial or life long learning, and that are taking benefit of the ICT.
Crowdsourcing your strategy, an article @McKinseyQuartely
Hello,
This is not an issue but an interesting article to read about crowdsourcing a strategy.
The social side of strategy

Crowdsourcing your strategy may sound crazy. But a few pioneering companies are starting to do just that, boosting organizational alignment in the process. Should you join them?
