Whose screen is the first screen?
Many of the discussions around the converged living room relate to the idea of the 'second screen', and the common assumption (especially among TV types) that theirs is the 'first' screen and everything else - smartphone, laptop, tablet - is somehow subsidiary.
This is not the case, as discussed by Mark Sorrell - see

and

I think that this realisation changes many aspects of the discussion.

Oh Bill,
Oh Bill,
I was sitting back in Thailand trying to watch the webcast, with the BBC on in the background. It's quite sad to (not) see what happens to the practice of media when you have people from the old world attempting to get "with it", isn't it? The webcast app has crashed twice and the stream is obviously not via a content delivery network (like trying to suck mashmallows through a straw). Nothing's watchable.
I suppose it's just as well. Obviously what attendees have to say isn't important. After all, it's only on the second/third screen. As for taking feedback from a viewing audience; quaint idea eh?
