To have a wider comunication on EU more inclusive is important to work consistentely to all (independent of languages) have the same chances to pariticipate and understand and be understood.
Without that only a small percentage have chance to express in full.
The improvements on automatic translation available must be a priority on EU instituitions and media plataforms.

Ok, I understand and I will agree that that is a general priority. However, do you think there is something more specific to be done with particular reference to our topic, i.e. media platform convergence?

Immediately? i suppose you could add this tool to the top right hand corner of this domain's page (where the drop down box is only "english" at the moment). http://translate.google.com/translate_tools?hl=en
(and maybe make it constant acros the europa.eu sites). It's not perfect. But at least it offers some choice, and if a community member/EC employee wants to go to the effort of doing a good translation, at least it might save them some time.
Of course there's nothing better than having bilingual moderators around the one domain. Vero?

Simonfi you are absoluty right. I feel that a lot(all ?) EC, Parliment and Bruxell staff are only speaking in a close loop. They forget the million of citizens around Europe that barely speak well one language.Or they are waiting for the end of EU or are the same burocratics as here in Portugal looking for own feet.
