Social Media as platform for all DA Groups
The noise level of the #da12social group is high and the activity level even higher. Obviously the group is using social media not only to create awareness but also to crowd source information, research, and collaborate in the project.
What do you think about helping all other Digital Agenda groups leveraging those tools and techniques to grow attention and gain momentum?
Here is a proposal: http://www.digitalagendastrategy.eu/social-media-as-a-da-platform/

Yes, but quality of content and actions are not.
"What do you think about helping all other Digital Agenda groups leveraging those tools and techniques to grow attention and gain momentum?"
Figure out a way so social networks and crowdsourcing actually converge on problems & causality analysis in order to create intelligent solutions.
The increasing focus on day-to-day opinions and superflous attention is making political leaders act more like game show hosts than visionary statesmen focusing on ways to solve our increasingly more serious problems.
And markets gets undermined by the same social networks turning commercialised hunting grounds for increasingly more defenseless prey as they are forced out into the open savanna without protection.
Social networks are important in any society, but the way digital social networks have been organised is a significant part of the problems - not solutions in themselves.
These problems also include media who are desparately trying to figure out compate against what is in reality the unfair competition from Behavioural profiling and target marketing.
So -instead of noise and trying to create the illusion that a certain kind of social media is a deterministic trend, what about beginning to address and solve the massive problems associated with internet-supported social networks?
For instance where are the focus on truely distributed peer-to-peer social networks based on empowerment
citizens? That is internet-enabled social networks as internet was originally designed but with added security and connectivity without the gatekeepers and marketdamaging data abuse?

Where I was just censored and ejected
Apparently for having the temerity to question why we were forced to register personal information on a site owned by - and therefore in direct monetary benefit to - an American based individual clearly deriving commercial value from this entire thing.
I ask simple questions and get censored:
would just like to say that our use of the XeeMe profile is a bad idea and I suggest that the overall approach to common identification for our group / for the overall agenda, be moved *away* from Xeeme: no offense to whoever made the original choice but I believe that I can prove it was, overall, not the correct choice and in this case I am also comfortable to say: the *wrong* choice.
Why? XeeMe is a commercial endeavour, run for profit, of course; by who,, I am not certain - but neither ownership nor profit motive are the issue. XeeMe is at best a game, just like Empire Avenue... funny enough (or not, depending on your sentiment
What is the issue? Well, the entire approach of XeeMe is built on a self-propagating principal wherein you, the XeeMe user, are promoting XeeMe instead of yourself: the scores and ranking on XeeMe are 100% artificial as they are created by driving people FROM sites with social content and interaction TO the XeeMe site (and by attempting to subjugate your intelligence by somehow making you think that this increases your credibility
This is not an argument about 'influence measurements' of this nature, but those that I have seen, including Klout, PeerIndex and a raft of others, provide a measurement based on interactions on relationships on actual social media sites rather than on their OWN site like XeeMe insists (yes, Klout allows you to give other users points but those points don't contribute to your rating or level, at least not yet)
XeeMe is a game, similar to Empire Avenue where users buy stocks in each other and by doing so increase the 'value' of their own 'shareholding' .. this I contend is a complete and total waste of time and effort (unless you want to play a game) and has no merit as a measurement
And so has no merit as a platform to be used to identify members here in this group. There are many others, also free, which are not related to false measurement including myonepage.com or wikiworldbook.com
Could this not easily be interpreted as a Conflict involving self promotion - particularly of a site that, to be 'used' requires you to promote the site?
I don't mind free bits, I don't mind a little self promotion but I see nothing but value in this for Axel Schultze in terms of a *vast* amount of promotion across an audience whose democratic nature and role in overall governance would indicate that we DON'T allow ourselves to be put in that position
Will this post also be censored?
Axel, I see your response on
Axel, I see your response on the Facebook page where I can no longer converse, that XeeMe is helping all of us to get connected on the various networks that's all - there is no "dependency"
The DEPENDENCY is that we were forced to register at XeeMe
the CONFLICT is that this action provides direct commercial value to you
the UNACCEPTABLE is to have these comments censored and to be removed from the Facebook group without notice and without discussion
I need to make a final
I need to make a final comment: it seems to me to be completely unacceptable that someone in the position of Axel would stoop to attempting to insult someone by accusing them of having ADD or ADHD (without having an inkling of what the condition is).
Please note that these attempts to use ADD as an insult happened both publicly on Twitter and privately in a message he sent to me on Facebook. All are available for examination on request.
Such behaviour, to use the condition of those unfortunate enough to suffer these afflictions as insults is childish, unprofessional and shocking

Many banks now also offer the option of electronic statements, either in lieu of or in addition to physical statements, which can be viewed at any time by the cardholder via the issuer's online banking website. The main benefit to each customer is convenience. Compared to debit cards and cheques, a credit card allows small short-term loans to be quickly made to a customer who need not calculate a balance remaining before every transaction, provided the total charges do not exceed the maximum credit line for the card.
