Hi all.
First, just thanks DAA12 organisation and participants for such an interesting event.

I attended workshop2 (high speed connections), where we discussed on how to reduce costs in fiber roll-out. The roundtable participants (operators, NRAs, university, etc.) agreed that local administration is a key agent in NGA deployment.

That's why maybe I missed a speaker directly from a municipality (a mayor, a local responsible for civil works, etc.), that could have shared his experience, initiatives and specially problems with FTTx/LTE networks deployment: road works, EM emissions & health, relation with operators, enviromental issues, lack of IT-skilled staff, etc.)

Do you think that we should focus a bit more on local world from now on?

Thanks in advance!
J

Agree, some localism in action would have been good, the panels seemed to have their own agenda to promote. The workshops were great, but they hadn't absorbed a lot of the information from this online forum. Maybe one day we will get the mix just right? onward and upward, keep the faith.
