We need
We need
a) For governement to STOP PREVENTING security by distorting access to networks -process thgat start in an identified state can never be secure
b) Open Incusive Standards that facilitate change
c) Empowering security mechanisms that redistribure control away from network effects-based structures in infrastructure. I.e. strong anti-behavioural profiling of citizens and companies.
d) Stop abusing "Need for Research" instead of dealing with issues that have nothing to do with research. We have the tools - problem is dysfuntional governance and markets as both bureaucracy and infrastructure playes fight to control citizens instead of empowering them and markets.
Dear Stephan I agree that
Dear Stephan I agree that reducing the bureaucracy and providing business facilitations to researchers and could surely aid towards diminishing the gap.
Regarding B and C how these
Regarding B and C how these two affect the aforementioned gap?
It is true that even though
It is true that even though researchers from Europe make significant contributions to the ICT security field, it is very common that their proposals / research results lack practical applicability. Digital Agenda and European Union could promote research results by introducing challenges and supporitng strat ups in a way that would engage researchers into a more applied research direction, always considering the applicability of their research. Such promotion could be achieved through the participation of European Security industry stakeholders.
