Anti-commoditization - how?

A threat to any company is to be reduced to just one of many, competing only on cost. Therefore any company will always strive for uniqueness - if nothing else on location.

A huge market problem is therefore the emergence of market players having all products on their shelf and forcing products in to a common denominator view.

The problem is significantly worsened if the same market players also control customer attention and are able to profile customers across many transactions.

An endgame is that the only access to market is through a few huge monopoliists/olIgopolists that control the market sphere and charge tax, e.g 30% seems to be the present avarage, on access to market.

The root question and a key challange for the workshop - how can EU restore free market conditions so new provides are not inherently intermediated ?
